Ros, thanks for the comment. I've not tested any other Knog products so I couldn't comment on those. I started using the Boomers again over the last several weeks and I haven't experienced the same issue yet. I did notice that when the front Boomer's battery was running low I couldn't turn the light off, but once the batteries were recharged that was no longer an issue. This could present a problem if the battery started running low on the morning commute (like it did for me) but you were also going to need it in the evening (I didn't).

But I certainly agree, the best part about the Boomers is the silicone attachment.

Its not the stretched silicon band causing the light to switch modes. Its just shite product development. A large percentage of Boomers are sent back to the manufacturer with this problem and the problem of switching permanently, irrevocably on until they die.
I've just sent an awful set of Knog panniers back too, and have concluded Knog dont care about developing usable, durable, properly tested gear.
The silicon attachment is great tho and I wish a proper gear manufacturer would steal it.

Yeah, actually I did that because the housing was rattling when I mounted it the other way. This seemed to help. I've now mounted it on the opposite side under the housing because it fits better.

RE: the first pic... Do you see any issues with hooking a headlight around the cable housings? Does that cause any damage? I recently installed a headlight on my road bike and noticed a squeaking when I stand to climb. I thought it could be a stem or fork issue, but after removing the light, it went away.
