The League of American Bicyclists‘ Bicycle Friendly University program is almost enough to make me wish I was shopping around for colleges again. The program is part of the Bicycle Friendly America program.
The Bicycle Friendly University program evaluates applicants’ efforts to promote bicycling in five primary areas: engineering, encouragement, education, enforcement and evaluation/planning.
BFU officially launched in September but just announced that the online application went live this past week. Students and alum should encourage their schools to apply.
