I really like the design of this bike lane. The parked cars between the road traffic and the bike lane offer protection to cyclists and, I imagine, make the lane feel safe. It’s hard to tell, but the bike lane itself looks a little narrow for two way traffic but, overall, it’s a good example of how cities can safely integrate cycling with street traffic.

Did they reclaim part of the road, or part of the sidewalk to build this? I love it – every road should have one.I'm also in favour of toll roads for cars where driving is unnecessary – basically all city streets and many suburban streets, too.

It looks like they reclaimed one lane.

I wonder how often idiots park in the cycle lane and block it when they're loading/unloading, or just being morons…

The lane size look about the same as forest park's here in Saint Louis. It's narrow, but not so much that two way traffic becomes uncomfortable.
