I personnally knew the young man who was killed on Sep.1, by Ms.Carillo, the hit and run driver. Pat was training for the Iron Man Triatholon after finishing a day at work, employed by Ryan & Co. I address the individual Micheal--- pose the question WHAT IF HE WAS YOUR SON??? He was a wonderful guy, responsible, successful, considerate, athletic man who loved his family & friends. Not just some *27 year old Sacramento man* but a great guy with his whole life ahead of him. GIVE me a break---who leaves a human being in the road-KNOWINGLY driving off with the vision of his body in your rear view mirror---- after you know YOU were responsible for hitting him? I can forgive texting and the fact accidents happen-BUT TO DRIVE OFF--TELLING NO ONE for an HOUR--then LIE to 911--( who calls 911 if they hit a dog??)--then LIE AGAIN TO the POLICE?? She cared ONLY about the consequences SHE might face. She didn't know the extent of his injuries! How about calling 911 to report a body in the road ANONYMOUSLY??? How about enough humanity to care enough to stop & comfort him in his last moments on earth!!! Yes, Michael, please tell me -WHAT IF THIS HAD BEEN your SON, BROTHER, NEPHEW, COUSIN, BOYFRIEND, FRIEND, PAL or Co-WORKER--TELL US HOW WE SHOULD FEEL!!! Do you think calling 911 would have increased his chances of living another day??? I guess that is a question Ms. Carillo will have to live with forever.
